2 Year Well Check

Hollis had a great 2 year well check.  I cannot say enough how thankful I am that my boys are healthy.  It is such a blessing!!!  Hollis always charms the nurses with those big brown eyes, long eyelashes, and sweet smile.  Today was no exception!  He doesn't like to be far from Mommy though, he had to be pried off of me to be weighed!  After warming up a little he sat in his own little chair and let the nurse listen to his heart.  She even told us that she had the same birthday...they are birthday buddies :)  By the time Dr. Cochran got in there, he was all warmed up and ready to play.  He "helped" Dr. Cochran with his chair and Dr. Cochran even gave him a book that was all about the number 2!!!  When Dr. Cochran was showing him the stethoscope, he took it into his hand and put it right on his heart!  I thought that was so funny that he knew exactly what to do with it!  He loved playing peek a boo with Dr. C, but and he let him do everything, including look into his ears...he didn't however love Dr. C looking into his throat.  He was not a fan at all!!!  Dr. C was happy with his progress.  He had fallen a little below his "line" for height and weight the last appointment, but was right back on track this time.  He weighed in a 25 lb 14.5 oz and his height was 33 3/4 inches.  He was only in the 30 something percentile for both, but Dr. C was fine with that since he is staying on his own "line" of progression.  He does have a hernia that he was born with that has not gone away, but Dr. C doesn't think we need to do anything about it at this time, however, if it is still there at age 5, he may have to have surgery to close the opening.  Overall, a great healthy check up and I couldn't be happier :)
