A Great Big Brother in the Making...

Clayton and Mommy
Giving kisses to the baby

Giving mommy kisses...oh how I love, love these kisses

The monthly belly pic...with my little love bug included :)

We keep trying to talk about the baby to Clayton, but quite frankly he is still a baby himself at 20 months old...so he doesn't really understand what is going on. Regardless, we keep showing him mommy's belly and telling him there is a baby in there and telling him to give the baby kisses. So now, although I don't think he really understands, he will point to my belly and say "baby" and give my belly kisses. I know this will be a huge adjustment, but I know he will be a great big brother, and I look forward to watching them grow up together and form a life long bond. I truly am so blessed!

Kid Fest

Me, Clayton, Elmo, and some random kid that got very attached to Clayton while waiting in line and would not let us get a picture without him in it, LOL

Clayton's new best friend...he just sat there, we had to make him leave and then he kept going back...too sweet!

Still here

Hello friend...I'm still here

We took Clayton to the WNIN Kid Fest this year...it was a little disappointing. The main reason we took him was to see some of his favorite characters...Elmo, Curious George, etc. Well, the way they organized it, you had to stand in line for each character one at a time...so the only character we saw was Elmo. It was also really hot that day!!! But, as always when it comes to Clayton, he makes everything fun and worthwhile...so we got a few good pictures and he really enjoyed meeting Elmo and making a new friend in Evie, the dog. They became pals instantly :)

Clayton turned 20 months the same day Scott and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary...so needless to say we have much to be thankful for! I know I've said it a million times, but it just amazes me how time flies. I feel like I post the monthly update and then turn around and it is time to do it again!!!
There is always too much to remember to put down, but here are some highlights of month 19...

*LOVES, I mean LOVES Curious George! He says George so well too, he is always asking for George. When the theme song comes on, he drops everything to bust a move. Needless to say, George will be his Halloween costume this year :)

*His vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. He is learning new words everyday, and I am amazed at how well, and clear he speaks.

*He loves to go Bye Bye...he goes to the door often with his "BB" and says Bye, Bye
*Still obssessed with trucks, cars, and pretty much anything with wheels

*He is LOVING Kindermusik...it is such a wonderful program! They learn so much about music and social skills. He has come so far in just 4 classes. They switch out instruments often, at first he had trouble with having to give the instrument back after the song...but after 2 classes, he began to put the instrument away when it was time without crying!!! They also have to wait their turn to get the instruments. He is learning so much everyday, he makes us so proud!!!
*Continues to love books...He has learned many, many animals and animal sounds from his favorite book in particular. Among the ordinary, traditional animals...he now knows the owl, sheep, penguin, snake, butterfly, along with the sounds they make. There are many more, but those are the more recent animals.

*He is getting more and more independent everday!

*Loves to bring you things, and after you say "Thank you", he says "There you go" as clear as day...it is so stinkin' cute!!!!
*Loves to be inside a laundry basket because his favorite Kindermusik song is one about cleaning clothes and they actually get into the laundry baskets there.

*LOVES giving kisses with a big MUAH sound, and gives them freely...and we LOVE getting them!

*Has no fear...we went to the playground the other morning and he loves to climb, no matter how high! Makes me a nervous wreck!

*Had tubes put in, so far so good! He has to wear ear plugs at bathtime and he is doing suprisingly well wearing them!!!

*Helps with putting toys away now, and will go and get things for you. It is amazing how much language he understands.

Funny Story...

It was too hot to play outside the other day, and I needed to go to the mall to pick up his Halloween costume, so we went to the mall playground. Clayton had a ball playing, there was another little girl his age there and he had a great time with her. Here comes the funny part...I had one more place to go and he kept wanting to go back down by Old Navy to ride the Merry Go Round, so off we went and I let him walk because the mall was dead on this Tuesday afternoon. This older couple was walking toward us and were already smitten with how cute and FAST he was. As soon as I let him out of the stroller he took off RUNNING down the mall towards the Merry Go Round...all of the sudden he makes a SUDDEN stop right in front of Hollister (you know the teen store with LOUD music) and starts busting a move. It was hilarious...this couple got a big kick out of it and so did I. Boy do I wish I had my video camera with me then!!! He is pure entertainment!
