Can't Believe My Sweet Hollis is 10 Months Old!!!!

 Big Boy Riding his Lion
I just love this picture for some reason!
 Playin
 Those eyes...sigh
 Sweet Baby Boy
Trying to steal big brothers snacks!
He gave up on Mommy trying to get a picture...these super heroes are over it!
 Big Boy
 Is he not the sweetest?!
Snuggling with Daddy :)  This one melts my heart!
Clayton's face says it all...he's at it again Mommy!
 Beautiful profile
What Mommy?  This is his favorite thing to do...mess up his big brother's train tracks :)
This face...hilarious!

Hollis is growing and learning everyday!  He is literally the sweetest, most snugly baby and of course an absolute joy.  I cannot believe he is already 10 months old...it is so repetitive, but I can't help but say...where does the time go???!!!
Here are a few of the many, many new things he has learned and/or done over the past month...

*He is now very good at eating cheerios and real bananas and really anything else he can get his hands on...even if it isn't edible!  We have only given him cheerios, bananas, and a bite of ice cream here or there, but he is constantly pulling up on Clayton's table and trying to sneak his food, or any crumb he can find on the floor.  Shoes are a favorite to chew on as well.  We have to watch him every second because he puts everything in his mouth

*Hollis is definitely our eater.  He now eats two containers of baby food at lunch and dinner.  I have only found one food that he hasn't liked...peaches!  Of all things he doesn't like peaches?!  I have tried more than once, but I know he doesn't like them because it takes him forever to eat them and by the time the container is halfway gone he is fussing because he doesn't want anymore.

*He still loves peek a boo, but his newest favorite game is "The drop game"...you know the one where they drop something, you pick it up, and then they immediately throw it down again!  He especially loves to do this in the bathtub.

*Loves Mickey Mouse...if Mickey comes on the TV he is instantly glued to it.  The other day he had crawled over to the TV and pulled up and was trying to catch Mickey's tail that was swinging back and forth on the screen...soooo cute!

*Still loves that thumb of his...if you give him anything close to his "lovey" he pulls it up to his face and sticks that thumb is.  It is the sweetest, cutest thing!!!

*Adores his big brother and thinks everything he does is funny...until he takes something away from him, then the tears pour.

*He is a very tender hearted little soul...he easily gets his "feelings" hurt and boy can he pucker that lower lip.  Such a sweetie

*He calls me "Ma", so now at night when he wakes up he calls, "Ma...Ma"  He also makes many other sounds and syllables..."uh" is another favorite right now.

*He now recognizes names with faces.  If I say, "Hollis where is Daddy?"  He will look around the room, spot him and smile.  Same with Clayton and Mommy.

*Does not like to be separated from Mommy AT ALL!

*Cruising the furniture like crazy and now even lets go and grabs on to something else...transfers himself from one piece of furniture to another if close enough.

*Can stand all by himself for short periods of time, but then lowers himself down and laughs...he thinks this is a pretty fun game too!

*LOVES bath time and will stay in there forever.  He splashes and splashes and crawls around.  He even crawls over to the water coming out if the tub is still filling and will play in the water coming out.  He is not scared of water at all and doesn't mind it being poured over his head or splashing in his face!

*Loves fountains...he is completely mesmerized by them!

*Loves Kindermusik and shaking the maracas is his favorite part :)

*Still very attached to his blue elephant "lovey"

*Loves stroller rides!

*Has figured out how to drink through a straw

*He is such a snugly baby...he likes to hold my hand and feel my face when he is nursing and when I rock him he likes to play with my hair with the hand that he doesn't suck his thumb.

*Likes to put things in and out...like putting things inside a bowl and then taking them back out

*Loves to pull up to the train table and mess up Clayton's train tracks :)

*Loves to swing

*His laugh is absolutely contagious...when he laughs it just fills the room!

We love our little "Hollis Man" and look forward to watching every new little thing he does and watching his personality come out.  Pure joy!

Soccer Tots

Clayton started Soccer Tots on Saturday.  We had been telling him about it all week, so he had been asking me every morning, "I go Soccer Tots today?!"  Finally Saturday was the day.  He was beyond excited about his "soccer shirt" and soccer ball.  He was so good.  He followed the teachers directions, took his turn, and loved playing all of the games.  He is such an amazing little boy, we couldn't be more blessed.  Clayton has a love and excitement for everything that is just infectious.  He makes everything so exciting and fun!  We just love this little boy.  As I look at these pictures I can't believe how much he looks like a little boy now!  He is getting so big and growing so fast!!!!

 My handsome little soccer player
 How handsome is he!?
They got to decorate their soccer balls so they could tell them apart, Clayton is telling me about the Cars stickers on his :)

 Stretching!
Clayton and his fan club...Uncle B, Gi Gi, Pop Pop and Hollis

Check out those skills, the teacher told them to put their toes on the ball!

Mommy and Clayton playing a soccer game!
They were supposed to be kicking down the cones, but my little cleaner kept going behind all of the kids and picking them back up, so cute!

Playdate With Macie

The other night while Scott and I took Hollis to Kindermusik, Gi Gi watched Clayton.  She invited my cousin and her little girl Macie over for a playdate.  Clayton was so excited when I told him he would be playing with Macie.  Abbie, my cousin, and I used to play together all of the time when we were little so it is so neat to see the our children playing together now.  Abbie got some cute pictures of the two of them enjoying some Dora Popsicles.  Clayton even gave Macie a Popsicle before getting his own, so proud of him :)

"Church Class"

Clayton will finally go to his Sunday school class all on his own and he LOVES it!  He graduated up from the nursery to the preschool class.  He calls it his "Church Class".  He reminded me just how big he is getting today.  After I picked him up today, I ask him what he learned in his class.  He started going on and on about a ship, raining, and animals.  I looked at the paper sent home with him and sure enough they learned about Noah's Ark today!!!  I was so proud of him that he was able to tell me all of that when I asked him what he learned.  He is such a smart boy!  He even told me that they had pretzels and juice for snack.  He is really a sponge these days, he listens to everything and takes it all in.  I just love our conversations :)

The Real Tow Mater!!!!

A friend of mine told me about this "Real" Tow Mater in Boonville and we just had to take the boys to see it!  It is so cool, a body shop has made this old truck into a replica of Mater down to every detail and it is just sitting outside the shop for anyone to enjoy.  Clayton was in awe, he loved it!  It is definitely something to see if you are a fan of the movie Cars!

Clayton and Daddy checking it out!
I think he was in disbelief

Oh My Clayton...Quite The Character!!

Clayton has such a big personality, he is always entertaining us...he is really something else.  He is always saying things and we wonder where in the world he gets it!  You just never know what will come out of that little mouth next.

Some of his latest antics...

*Loves to boss his baby brother around, he is constantly saying, "No Baby Hollis" or "Mommy, hold Baby Hollis" (this so his little brother doesn't disturb his trains!)

*We were in a drive through the other day and he says out of nowhere with LOTS of expression, "Oh my goodness!"  You had to hear the way he said it, I literally could not stop laughing, therefore he said it over and over and over!

*He likes the show Dora, so now if someone takes something from him or we tell him no he says, "Swiper No Swiping"...what a mess he is!

*His newest thing to say, and I have NO idea where he got it, is "Mama I Mad!"  He really uses it in the correct context too, and as he says this he is crossing his arms.  Oh my!!!

*Now if he gets hurt or  has a boo boo, he immediately says..."Mama kiss it!" and his latest is "I need a bandaid!"

*He is always going to the door and saying, "Mama I go store and get a cookie!?"  This comes from the free cookie at Schnucks.  I have to say, thankfully, he LOVES to grocery shop and both he and Hollis are absolute angels when shopping.  Sure does make my life a lot easier.

*He is quite the ham in Kindermusik now.  We always sing a hello song first and this is his third Kindermusik session so he knows it by heart.  The other day we were sitting in the circle getting ready to start and he starts singing the song...as a solo.  Mrs. Julie his teacher just let him go and everyone in the class (well the moms) started laughing and thought he was just the cutest thing.  He also gave Mrs. Julie a big kiss at the end of class...little teacher's pet on our hands?!

This picture totally captures his personality, and why I love this little boy so much.  If you notice the Bandaid on his forehead...well, there is no boo boo, but he insisted he wear this Bandaid on his forehead all day.  We even went to Target with it stuck right there on his forehead...he is just too funny!

This is only what I can remember at the moment...I wish I could just carry around a little recorder to tape everything he says.  I just never know what to expect :)

Skype With Daddy and A Trip to the Airport!

I know this picture is blurry, but I love it.  It captures a precious moment just as it happens.  Scott was literally the LAST person off the plane and Clayton could not wait much longer to see his Daddy!

Scott recently had to spend a week in North Carolina for work.  I really didn't think it would affect Clayton like it did.  I thought, being so young, that he wouldn't really know the difference between one night and five...but boy did he.  He really had a hard time!!!  When Scott got back he wasn't wanting to sleep in his own bed, and is still having a hard time if either one of us leave him.  He really missed his Daddy.  We did Skype almost every night, and I think that confused him... he kept saying, "Daddy where are you?"  So needless to say he was beyond excited to go to the aiport to meet Daddy.  I wasn't sure how it would go taking two babies to the airport way past bedtime, but it was oh so worth it and Daddy even had model airplanes for both boys!!!!  We sure are glad to have him back, and thankful he doesn't have to take trips like this often!
