Camping at Lake Rudolph with Great Friends!

We went camping with some great friends at Lake Rudolph this weekend. The weather was beautiful. Heil brought a wagon, and we spent the day toting the boys around looking at all of the neat campsites. They loved it, so much that both times we took them for a stroll they went to sleep! Later in the evening we took them trick or treating for the first time in their costumes. they were absolutely adoreable. People we didn't even know were taking pictures of them and ooing and aweing. Not long after we left the campsite, they were fast asleep, so the mommies took over getting the candy (ha!). It was a great time, we are hoping to make this an annual tradition, something that we as families can look forward to and make memories for years to come. Trick or Treating wore them out! Our little animals :)

Clayton had to lay down...riding in a wagon is exhausting :)

He was amazed by the fall leaves

This is so much fun!

8 month Review...unbelievable! Where is the time going?

Hard to believe that he turned 9 months on the 14th of October! This past month, just like the ones before, was full of exciting firsts and new adventures. It is amazing to me how much joy he has brought to our life, the littlest things are so fun and exciting when we experience them with him. We saw Dr. Cochran today for his 9 month well check and he was 28 1/2 inches which is average, and weighed 18 pounds 10 ounces which is in the 20th percentile. Dr. C says no need to worry as he is progressing right up the chart and following the same pattern. Everything looked great, he is meeting all the milestones plus some, but his ears were infected again today :( We also had to make the tough decision of whether or not to vaccinate for the H1N1 virus, and our Dr. did recommend it, so we will be getting the vaccine. Have to protect this precious baby boy of ours!
Month 8 at a glance:
Loves talking, squealing, and making all kinds of noises
Had to put the crib mattress down
Went from laying/crawling back up to sitting (hence the crib mattress coming down)
Sick with Croup, temp of 103 :( Poor baby!
Went "Ghosting" in the neighborhood
Beginning to pull up to knees
LOVES crawling under, through, and over everything
Loves to get into the dog bowls :)
His Pop's guitar is his FAVORITE thing to play with...not kidding he is obsessed with it!
Figured out he has a tongue and sticks it out and tries to touch his nose with it...hilarious!
Here are just a few captured moments from month 8...

Under everything!

Mommy and Clayton hanging out

Such a little ham!
He hadn't been in this swing in months...think he is a little big now, but he loved it :)

Who me?

I was making the bed and had the comforter draped over the end of the bed, when I came around the corner Clayton was chillin'...too cute!

How do I get outta here mom???

Fall Fun

My favorite season has arrived! We just decorated our front porch of the new house and decided to take some pictures of Clayton on the porch in his first Halloween shirt. They turned out so cute!

Our Little Pumpkin

Clayton's cousin Macie turned one on October 13th, so we celebrated her birthday this past weekend. She was so cute. Here is a picture of Scott, Clayton, Macie, and I at Macie's birthday party!

Ghosting!!!

On Friday, our doorbell rang and when we went to answer it noone was there! A neighbor had left a pumpkin on our doorstep full of goodies with a poem saying that we had been ghosted, and we were to ghost 3 more neighbors in the next two days. We live in such a great neighborhood! So, we bundled Clayton up on Saturday night and we went and rang 3 of our neighbors doorbells, left a treat, and ran away! Fun times :)
