Play Ball...

Running through the water mist...oh how he loves water
Getting a balloon from the clown

Daddy and Clayton at Bosse Field

Loves his popcorn "pocorn"

Clayton and Daddy with the Otter Bells

Swinging on the playground

He is actually smiling and laughing in this one despite the fact that it looks like he is trying to get away:)

Here is a good one!

When we got home, he was sitting in his chair eating icecream and he had his little feet crossed, I love how he does this...so sweet I had to take a picture!

Yum! Enjoying his "iceceem"

We took Clayton to his first baseball game last night...we went and watched the Otter's. We met Uncle B there. It was a perfect night weather wise! He had a ball watching the game, running through the mister, getting a balloon from the clowns, meeting Evan the Otter, getting his picture with the Otter Bells, eating popcorn, and most of all running around! Daddy sure got his workout chasing after Clayton...he is really on the go these days, and we wouldn't have it any other way :) On the way home, we got icecream from Dairy Queen, Clayton LOVES his "iceceem". It was a great family night!

Tubes...

On our way to the Surgery Center Waiting to go back to surgery, watching his favorite movie Cars

Hard to see, but the hospital ID band on his ankle

Having a well deserved breakfast :)

Well, after many ear infections, the decision was made to put tubes in Clayton's ears. So Friday morning we got up early and headed to the surgery center at 6:30 AM. I must tell you that as a mommy, I was dreading this!!!! I don't care how minor of a procedure it is, when it is your baby, nothing is minor. Of course your nervous about the anesthesia, the procedure, and putting your child in someone elses hands. The anesthesiologist came and talked with us and Clayton...Clayton of course was all smiles :) He then took him back with his Pie pie (pacifier, BB (blanket), and his Woody doll from Toy Story. He of course cried for Mama...which broke my heart! Good news is that less than 10 minutes later, Dr. Wahle came out and told us the procedure was over and all went well. One minute later, the nurse came and got us. When we got to the recovery room a nurse was rocking Clayton, he looked so sweet. She said she thought she would just keep him :) I must say I can't blame her. I took over the rocking of course and it took him a little bit to come out of the anesthesia...made me teary eyed again to see him. Thank God it is just a minor procedure and all went well. Once we got home, it was like nothing ever happened...he was quite hungry and thirsty though from not being able to eat or drink, so that was the first thing he did!

Bouncing Off The Walls...

Taking a rest

Peek a boo

He kept coming up to the netting and giving me a kiss through the ropes, ahhh melt my heart :)

He spent a lot of time falling :)

Never goes anywhere without a truck or car in hand!

Checking things out

Today I took Clayton on a playdate with friends to Bouncing Off The Walls. He had a blast...he played so hard. This was his first time there, and I think he was a little overwhelmed, he didn't know which bouncy to try out first. He was hilarious, it was a little hard for him to keep his balance on those things so he spent a lot of time rolling around on them. Mommy had a hard time keeping her balance as well, especially being 6 months pregnant! But I still managed to climb through with him and slide down the slides. While he was in one of the bounce houses he kept coming over to the side and kissing me through the net, it was the absolute sweetest thing. I cherish these moments, he just fills my heart with joy!!!! He was just plain exhausted by the time we left, he fell asleep on the car ride home :) Fun memories made!

Water Fun...

Sprinkler fun!
Mommy spraying Clayton with the hose...he loved it as you can see by his facial expression :)

First time playing with sidewalk chalk

Admiring his work

Hmmm...not sure what to do with these?

We have had such nice weather lately, it's been great to get outside. Clayton loves nothing more than to be outside and play in the water. Saturday was a perfect day for both! We did sidewalk chalk on the deck, played in the sprinkler, and the water table. I love days like these :)

Fun Photos to Share...

Not the first time for icecream, but the first time for icecream in a cone!
Taking a rest from climbing at CMOE

Climbing around at the park.

Free!!!!

Here lately he is really into this cowboy hat my mom brought him back from Colorado...too cute :)

Kindermusik...

I have been looking forward to this for months...Clayton's first Kindermusik class! I have heard how wonderful it is, and Clayton loves music, dancing, and singing...so I knew this would be right up his alley. Our first class was a hit! He was a huge ham, let's just say while the rest of the class was sitting in a circle singing...Clayton was in the MIDDLE of the circle shaking his bootie, clapping, and shouting "Yay". He continued to shout "Yay" and clap after each song ended. He put on quite the show, and I think he may just have been the hit of the class. It is a wonderful program, and I look forward to watching him grow and learn in this process. I know my Dad, his Pops, was definitely looking down and smiling that day as music was a passion of his and he had an unbelievable talent for it. I think Clayton has that music bug as well.
By the way, I will definitely get some pictures at the next class and post them, I was trying not to be the "crazy" mom with the camera at the very first class :)

19 months old...slow down time!!! Here is a look at month 18...

Wow, unbelievable...I'm wondering if there is a slow motion button??? It's true time sure does fly when you are having fun. I am savoring each and every moment, especially now that I've been given the gift of being a stay at home mommy. I love being here for each and every moment, and I love my husband even more for giving me this opportunity that I will forever be grateful for.

Here are some highlights from month 18:

*Totally into cars, trucks, and everything boy! He usually has a truck or car in each hand and you will see him making it go around on the floor with the mmmmmm sound

*Check up went great! I know I shared this in the 17 month review, but he was really 18 months at that check up, so I will share it here too. He is 22 lbs, so still a little guy, but growing, growing! He has met all his milestones, and the Dr. was impressed with how well he talks. He didn't get his 18 month shots because he was still battling an ear infection :( Which led us back to the ENT and we are scheduled for tubes August 27th :( Overall, a healthy, happy baby so I couldn't be more thankful for that!!!

*Says several phrases...talks so much there is no way to keep up with all that he says now! I love it when he says "there go" (there you go), "etzelllll" (pretzel, he holds that ellll out), he does a whole lot of talking that you catch a few words in, he can really get going!!!

*Still in love with everything outdoors!

*Has discovered standing/walking on his tippy toes, soooo cute :)

*Loves to give kisses with a big "muah" sound...and we LOVE getting them. He is such a cuddly, loving baby...so sweet! The other day my hair had fallen into my face and he reached up and gently moved it out of my face...melted my heart.

*Has a new game he LOVES to play with Daddy...they get on the couch and hide, throw, fall, hit each other with all the pillows...this has become a nightly ritual in our house...along with riding the horsey (riding on Daddy's back while he does push ups)

*Still in love with the water...went all the way under in water class AND jumped off the side to Daddy

*Loves to vacuum with the swivel sweeper, and I must say I love this one ;)

* When you ask him what he wants...he will really think and say ummmm, ummm, ummm...then tell you what he wants.

*It is really neat to be able to communicate, for the most part we can understand what he wants and he can understand when we ask or tell him to do something

*Can climb up and go down his slide all by himself now

*Loves to throw things away in the trash can

*He will fake laugh now to get attention, if you say, "Clayton is Daddy funny?" He will fake laugh really loud...he is such a ham!!!

*Loves to sing...especially the La La La La, Elmo's World song!

So many more things I am sure, he just does so many new things everyday, it is hard to keep up with it all :)

Fun at the Fair...

Riding the trucks with Daddy

Loved climbing on the tractors!

Wow!!!

Look at how happy he is to see that horse :)

We decided to take Clayton to the Vanderburgh County Fair this year. He is absolutely in love with all animals, but he really loves cows for some reason. So we thought the fair would be really great with all of the farm animals. Uncle B and Gi Gi (he finally has a name for my mom) met us there. Clayton loved the animals, that is until he realized we wouldn't let him inside the cages with them. His adventurous nature amazes me, the baby has no fear, a little scary for mom. Climbing on the tractors was a definite hit! He also got to ride a ride with Daddy, which was successful once it started going. We learned not to get on the ride until the thing is about to go...no patience for sitting still :) It was a great night!

Learning at the Library...

This book had tractors and farm animals...he enjoyed lifting the flaps to find the animals.

Concentrating!!!
On the move again...acting like he owns the place :)

Busy working puzzles

It has been so hot, we have to find fun indoor activities to do...so the other day we decided to check out the Central Library in Downtown Evansville. It is really nice! Scott had been there before, but we hadn't. They have a great children's area with lots of games, puzzles, books, and a big ship to climb on. Clayton loved the puzzles! He is an explorer, so a lot of the time, I was chasing him around as he discovered all the library had to offer. He is such a smart little boy, and I love watching him discover and figure things out. He doesn't miss a thing, he is one observant little boy, just like his Daddy.
