More Milestones...

Sitting up so good now...he is checking out his new float! Wow mom this is cool!Clayton sitting in the high chair at the restaurant

Sitting in the front of the cart for the first time at Sam's club

Clayton has become really proficient at sitting up these days, so I decided to be brave and try out sitting him in the front of the cart at Sam's club. It was a success! He absolutely LOVED it... mostly because he is one observant 6 month old. He just stares with those big blue eyes and takes it all in. I just had to be careful not to park my cart too close to the items or else I might just be purchasing something I hadn't planned on purchasing :) Me being the proud mommy that I am had to stop in the middle of the aisle at Sam's club, pull out the camera, and take pictures of my baby boy sitting in the cart for the first time...people probably thought I was nuts! I even took out my phone to text his daddy a picture! Since the cart was such a success...we also tried sitting up in a high chair at the restaurant...he LOVES this as well...he likes to be in the middle of all of the action so this is right up his alley...he beats his hands and just smiles that big beautiful smile of his! So many fun moments to come, Scott and I enjoy each and every one. He has brought such joy to our world.

Water Baby...

Clayton absolutely loves splashing in the bathtub, so we just knew he would love the water babies class at the Y and boy did he ever! He was the talk of the class! He was splashing from the moment he got into the water...he would splash and a big wave of water would hit him in the face and eyes and he would just go back for more. Meanwhile, the other kiddos who were all older than him were a little timid of the water. Everyone, including the lifeguard, kept asking "How old is he?" They couldn't believe how much he loved the water already, no fear. I am thinking that mommy and daddy enjoyed it even more than Clayton. We just love each and every new experience through his eyes. He is our ray of sunshine...we may be just a little proud of him ;)

Just a swingin' and a sittin'

Clayton loves to swing on his Grandma's porch swing, so Scott and I bought him a swing of his own to hang from the tree in our yard. We put it up today and he absolutely LOVES it. I can tell he is going to be adventurous because his daddy kept swinging him a little higher each time, and he would squeal and laugh with delight. He is such a joy to watch, so happy ALL the time! I just LOVE this little boy!!!!!!

Clayton also graduated to the bath seat! He had already graduated to the big bath tub as you may have seen in a previous post, but he was hanging over the edge and he loves to splash so we decided to try it out. He wasn't quite sure what to think of it at first, but after a few minutes he was splashing away and playing with his bath toys.

First Fourth of July...

For the past few years, we have gone to our good friends, The Bray's house for a fourth of July celebration. Last year, several of my friends and I were pregnant at this party, talking about our pregnancy cravings, symptoms, and sharing our excitement about our new babies and becoming mommies. This year, we're all blessed to have our beautiful healthy babies here to join us at the party. I am thankful that we live in this country and have brave men and women to fight for our freedom, and I am especially thankful that God blessed us with these beautiful healthy babies and great friends to celebrate with. Happy 4th...God Bless!

I had Clayton dressed in an adorable Red, White, and Blue 4th of July outfit, but Daddy had other ideas...he wanted to wear their matching Dharma shirts he got for Father's Day...I have to admit they do look pretty darn cute :) Love my boys!!!!

Here they are...the beautiful healthy babies we were so anxiously awaiting at last year's celebration...Clayton, Owen, Sophie, and Olivia.

All Clayton needs is the red and white with those eyes...everyone loves those dazzling baby blues he has.

OUCH...Clayton's first ear infection :(

Stuffy nose, pulling at the ears, yep...it's an ear infection. After two trips to the Dr's office and MANY calls to the nurse from a paranoid mommy (at least I admit it) we discovered that Clayton had his first ear infection. We spent many nights over the last week rocking and cuddling our poor little guy. Despite the painful ear, we are blessed with such a sweet good natured baby that other than the tugging and stuffy nose he was still all smiles and giggles for the most part. It was so hard to see him so helpless, heartbreaking, I wanted to take that ear infection on myself. I guess that is what being a mommy is all about...
