Hollis' 3 month Pictures...So Sweet!

Some Fun Captured Moments...

Brothers watching cartoons in the morning This is a birdhouse my uncle made me a long time ago, Clayton loves birds (well all animals in general) and he saw this in our attic and thinks it is a Coo Coo Clock because it has a bird sticking out of the hole. He loves it!
Caught this moment while at Great Granny's house...how sweet!
Mommy and her babies :)
Sweet little Hollis
I was getting a picture of Hollis and ended up getting Clayton in the background, I thought it was a really neat picture
My sweet, funny Clayton...he was watching Toy Story and he ran into his playroom got his cowboy hat and his Woody doll...too cute :)
So stinking cute!

Hollis...4 months, a look at month 3!

Look how good I hold my head up! What is that Clayton?!
I'm four months old today! Swinging
Gotta have that hand in his mouth
Chewing on his towel after bathtime
What a face!
Sweet Hollis loves his bathtime
Chewing on that hand and playing with his hair...his favorite thing to do!
He fell asleep like this...so sweet!

A look at what Hollis is up to...
*Laughing out loud, I mean belly laugh

*Getting so good at sitting up in his Bumpo...doesn't like to lay back, he has to be up and looking around at what is going on

*Staying awake and alert for long periods during the day

*Loves to watch Clayton, but sometimes he is a little loud and it scares him

*Grabbing onto faces and anything close to him

*Starting to get on a schedule

*Follows you with his eyes...if you get out of sight for long he cries...doesn't like to be alone, social like his Mommy :)

*Has only had a bottle a handful of times, but will drink pumped milk from a bottle once I found the right one! Took 3 different kinds before we found the right one.

*Belly sleeper

*Loves to suck on his hand...or yours

*Rolled over from belly to back for the first time!

*Getting more vocal...cooing and "talking"

*Loves to raspberry with his tongue

*his legs are so strong, he can stand with you just holding his hands

*spreading out eating times to some 4 houAdd Imager stretches

*had to start sleep training, as he was wanting to nurse all night...now he goes to sleep all on his own!

*Hollis is a drooler and loves to chew on anything he can get his hands on

*Shrieks with joy...I think he likes the sound of his own voice...it is so cute

*He loves bright colors and patterns

Hollis had a great check up with Dr. Cochran. He gave him a big smile when he walked in and those "kicker legs" going as Dr. Cochran calls them. He is doing everything he should be and more. He is average in both height and weight. He weighed 14 lbs and 5 ounces, and he was 24 3/4 inches long. Of course, shots again at this visit which I think is way harder on Mommy than it is on Hollis. So blessed and thankful for another healthy check up!

Cheering Mommy On...The Run of Luck!

Mommy's Good Luck Charms!!!

I decided to take up running after Hollis was born. I have always worked out, but have wanted to do the half marathon for several year and it just never worked out. This year I decided to stick to it! My first official race leading up to the half marathon was a 7K, The Run of Luck. It was so much fun, I ended up finishing in 51 minutes! All the people and the atmosphere was so motivating. I must say that the best part of the whole race was seeing my husband, babies, mom, and best friend at the finish line cheering me on and supporting me. I am such a lucky girl, I don't know what I did to be so blessed, but God sure did bless me in a big way. I have to say it brought tears to my eyes when I saw them there at the finish. Definitely a moment to remember!

Mischief with Daddy!

This face says it all!

The other day Scott took Clayton downstairs to play. He likes to go down there because he never gets to, so it is like an adventure to him. In the spare bedroom downstairs I have the room set up for tutoring. This means lots of manipulatives, markers, crayons, stamps...you get the idea! Well, they had been downstairs for quite awhile, so Hollis and I decided to go and see what they were up to. Well what we found was two guys up to a little, well a lot, of mischief! Daddy let Clayton go to town with the markers, and thankfully they were washable because the table, Clayton, and his clothes were a mess!!! The important part was that they had a ball playing, and it all came out in the wash :)

Bedtime Pals...

Clayton has been going through a new phase of wanting to take a toy to bed. This is on top of our normal BB (blanket), Pup Pup (Blanket puppy), and Pi Pi (pacifier). For several nights he took Mater to bed, then the dinosaur, a friend's toy giraffe, and several other toys...some not the cuddly type (like a crane from the train table!). We finally had to end the take a toy to bed phase because he was waking up at night looking for it, or I'm sure rolling over on a hard toy woke him at times. So funny to see the different phases he goes through :)

First Time With Playdough!

Clayton got Playdough for a big brother gift from a friend, and I had put it away and forgotten about it. The other day Clayton found it, so we got out all the colors and played. We made animals, of course, and talked about colors. He was very tempted to eat it, but every time it would go towards his mouth I would catch him and remind him that we didn't eat Playdough. We played for over an hour and made many, many animals. By the end of the playtime, we had one big ball of brown Playdough after Clayton had mixed all of the Playdough animals together!
