Hollis is 9 months!!! Here is a look at month 8...

He LOVES his big brother!!
Happy 9 month check up...love me some Hollis :)
Hey Mommy, I'm not doing anything I'm not supposed to!
Giving Leo the Lion some lovin'

Cutie
Big boy on Leo!
So cute it should be illegal!

*Pulling up on everything and can now get himself back down.  For the longest time he would pull up, and then cry because he thought he was stuck

*Got tooth number 3 and 4...and those were doozies for poor Hollis, very painful with lots of sleepless nights :(

*BIG TIME Mommy's boy!!!!  If I am in the room or anywhere near he is not going to be satisfied with anyone else but Mommy!  (I must admit I love it!)

*Started his first Kindermusik class, and he loves the music and singing!  He even shakes the maracas along with the music!

*Cruises the furniture

*Full fledged crawling now...no more scooting and boy is he fast, especially when he sees something he wants.  He is so funny, he won't put his right knee on the floor only the left :)

*Very entertained by Clayton, but sometimes Clayton is a little rough and doesn't understand he can't play with Hollis like he plays with Daddy, so now its almost as if Hollis braces himself when Clayton comes around :)

*Gives kisses

*Loves ALL babyfood.  This boy loves to eat!  I haven't given him a single food that he didn't like, and when he sees that food and spoon those legs and arms start going and that mouth opens up like a little baby bird, and you can't get it in fast enough!

*Reaches up with his hands when he wants to be held

*When I rock him he sucks his right thumb and with his left hand he plays with my hair to get himself to sleep...just precious!

*Everything goes straight to his mouth...he eats everything...you can't leave any paper on the floor or anything like that or he goes right for it.

*He ate cheerios for the first time and liked them!

*He is always standing up in bed when we go get him in the morning now

*No longer needs the baby seat in the tub!

*Hollis has become quite the little beaver since gaining 4 teeth, he is gnawing away at his crib!  I had friends whose little ones did this, but Clayton never did, so I was surprised to see the teeth marks on his crib!

*Says Da Da

*Can pick up small foods such as Cheerios and put them in his mouth all by himself

*Comes to you when you call his name

*"Talking" up a storm!!!

Dr. Cochran visit was a success :)  He is weighing in at 18 lbs and 4 1/2 ounces and is 27 and 3/4 inches long!  He is strong, healthy, and happy and I couldn't ask for anymore than that!  He was so good for Dr. Cochran, but he wanted Mommy...he literally doesn't let me out of his sight.  As long as he can see me he wants me!  He is just the happiest baby with the absolute sweetest smile...I could just eat him with a spoon.  He is a blessing for sure!

Clayton Gets A Big Boy Bed!!!

Well Clayton finally figured out how to climb out of his crib.  He is all boy, so I am amazed at how long it took him.  I was taking advantage of the fact that he would still stay in it and decided to wait until this day before changing him over to the toddler bed.  I was downstairs doing some chores, while the boys napped, and I heard the door to one of the bedrooms open. I go around and look at the landing at the top of the stairs and sure enough, there is Clayton grinning from ear to ear, so proud of what he had just accomplished.  Needles to say it was an eventful nap time.  I put him back into that crib no less than 10 times, and called Scott and informed him we would need to make his bed into a toddler bed that night.  I anticipated a very eventful night, but we are going on week two of being in the toddler bed and he NEVER gets out.  He goes to bed perfectly just like before, I couldn't believe it!  GiGi got him an elephant pillow pet for staying in his big boy bed and he loves it.  Of course Hollis got one too, for cheering his brother on ;)  He got a frog pillow pet :)  Way to go Clayton, so proud of you in your big boy bed!!!!

The Life!

I took the boys to the park this morning, and Clayton had a ball as usual.  He was absolutely filthy from head to toe!  The kind of filthy that has to have a bath before doing anything else.  He had gotten really hot as well, so on the way home we stopped for an "orange slushy", and he got to take a bath in "mommy's tub", which is our big Jacuzzi tub in our bathroom.  It is more like a swimming pool for him.  Afterwards, I put on some jammies so he could take a nap and he finished his slushy in "mommy's bed" while watching a movie.  As I watched him all comfy and cozy drinking that slushy in my bed I thought...that is the life!  :)  I know I say it all the time, but I am just so thankful that I can take them all of these places and let them be in the comfort of their own home everyday!  I don't take this blessing for granted, and am thankful everyday that I have this opportunity!

Another Trip to Holiday World...Hollis' First Trip!

Hollis completely worn out!!!

My mom took a day off and we packed up the boys and took them to Holiday World.  This was Clayton's second time, and he has been asking every morning since the first time, "Mama I go Holiday World, splish splash, ride choo choo?"  Same conversation every morning.  No matter where we have been that day, when Daddy asks him what he did, he says, "I go Holiday World!"  This was Hollis' first time, and he took it all in, loved the water, and was EXHAUSTED by the end of the day!!!  He went to bed at 5:00!  Clayton of course loved all the rides, and the water.  I had to stay right on top of him because he likes to take himself under, but can't always get back up.  He loved the water slides in the new part, but insisted on riding the same one OVER AND OVER AND OVER!  I think he would have stayed in that pool until the park closed and he fell over with exhaustion.  I finally convinced him to get out by coercing him with ice cream.  We had such a great day!  I am already looking forward to the next time, they are great little travelers :)

All Aboard!!!

It has been so nice outside and Clayton is train OBSESSED, so I decided to take the boys to the train museum in downtown Evansville!  I had never been and was pleasantly surprised by how much they have in there.  It is really nice.  They have a huge model train inside the building and old carriages, and outside the have real trains that you can climb in.  They even have a bell you can ring on the engine.  Clayton loved it, and Hollis enjoyed watching Clayton run all over that place.  I will definitely take them back!

Hollis' First Kindermusik Class!!!

Hollis started his first Kindermusik class this week and he loved it!!!  He was just amazed by Mr. Jeremy's voice, he just stared at him and followed him with his eyes around the room.  He also loved shaking the instruments, and of course had to taste test them as well :)  Kindermusik is such a great program!  At one point Hollis, who is an extreme Mommy's boy, crawled across the circle right to Mr. Jeremy.  Mr. Jeremy picked him up, Hollis looks up, looks at me and puckers up.  Mr. Jeremy put him down and he crawled faster than I have ever seen him crawl right back to me.  It was so cute, everyone in class got a huge kick out of it.  I look forward to taking my boys to Kindermusik, and having that one on one time with them, and also watching them grow, learn, and acquire new skills.  So fun!!!

Absolutely Amazing!

I am absolutely loving watching the relationship between my boys grow each day!  The sibling dynamic is so special, one that I did not experience, so I am in awe watching this forever bond between my boys.  My prayer for them is that they will be each other's biggest fan and closest friend, and that no one or no thing ever come between them.
