Hollis' First Swim Class...He's a Little Fishy

Hollis had his first Water Baby class and he loved it!  He loves the water and doesn't mind getting water in his face at all.  He is used to his brother splashing him in the tub.  He had the biggest grin on his face all during class and splashed and splashed and splashed some more.  He also loved "swimming" after the yellow ball.

Boy has this month been a busy one for our little Hollis man!!!  He is just meeting milestones left and right.  Here is a look at what he has been up to...

*He is such a happy, sweet baby, and loves to cuddle!!!  He has the best smile :)

*I think he is going to be my shy one.  When someone he isn't very familiar with talks to him, he will smile but lay his head on my shoulder and try to hide.  It is so precious

*He is a big time Mommy's boy!!!  As long as I'm not in sight he is okay, but if he sees me and I don't have him, he puckers that little lip up and wants Mommy!

*Says Mama with intention now, knows what it means

*He cut two teeth in one week!  He has his bottom two teeth and boy are they cute!

*Loves toys now and can really play with them and entertain himself for longer periods of time.  He loves the play room, lots of things he can get into in there!

*Absolutely loves bath time and loves to splash with his hands.  He is going to be a little fishy like his brother.  He doesn't mind water in his face at all.  When they are in the bath together and Clayton splashes he just laughs and laughs.  I love that they aren't afraid of the water!

*He now loves to swing.  For awhile when we first got our swing set, he didn't like being in the swing.  Now he falls asleep every time.

*Has noticed TV and will smile and laugh when the show Dora is on

*Tried puffs for the first time, his first solid food

*Is on 2nd foods now and has tried many new flavors...I have yet to find one he didn't like.  I think he is going to be a good eater!

*Loves to be sang to and really loves the games peek-a-boo and pat-a-cake

*When he gets excited about something he gets those arms and legs going and starts "talking"

*Getting better about riding in the car

*He is just the sweetest, most loving baby who loves to cuddle, smile, "talk", and bring an enormous amount of joy to our lives!!!!!!!!!!  We love our Hollis Man

*He is officially a crawler and he is everywhere and into everything!

*He can pull up now, if you stand him up next to something, he can stand while holding onto something.  I really think he is going to be an early walker!!!

*We had to lower this crib because Daddy went in to get him the other morning and he was standing up!!!  Such a big boy :)

*Such a good natured baby.  He is so laid back and easy going, you can take him just about anywhere and he is happy.  He just takes it all in. 

*He is a little cuddle bug, and I love it.  He will grab your face and just love on you, and lay on your shoulder

*Very fond of his thumb and sleeps with a little blue elephant blanky baby

Indy Children's Museum 2011

Scott was on vacation this past week, so we decided to take a little road trip Friday to Indy.  We left early Friday morning when the boys woke up and headed to Indy to the Children's Museum.  I was so excited to take them there...I used to go all the time when I was little and remember how much fun I had and the memories I made.  I couldn't wait for Clayton to see that huge dinosaur on the side of the building.  If you know Clayton, you know his love for dinosaurs.  We got there around eleven and as we pulled up Clayton immediately spotted that huge dinosaur and he was beyond excited!!!  As soon as we got inside they had a giant transformer from the movie transformers in the lobby and he kept yelling, "robot!"  We spent all day playing and went back to the huge dinosaur exhibit twice.  I didn't think we were going to get him out of there.  Hollis enjoyed looking at everything and they had several rooms there that he could enjoy as well.  He is such a great baby, he just goes with the flow.  Clayton had no nap, but just kept on running from exhibit to exhibit as fast as those little legs could take him, all the while yelling "Mama, Dada, look!"  We had a wonderful day filled with lots of great memories.  He is still saying every morning when he gets up, "Mama, go on trip, see dinosaurs?"  We look forward to many more trips with our beautiful boys :)

Indy Zoo 2011

We woke up Saturday morning bright and early and headed to the Indianapolis Zoo for the day before heading home.  Clayton LOVES animals and this zoo has several animals that he doesn't get to see at the Evansville Zoo.  This zoo even had a dolphin show!!!  He loved seeing the dolphins, but it was a little on the informational side, so it didn't hold his attention for too long.  He pretty much walked the entire zoo and saw tons of animals...he even got to pet a shark and get as up close and personal with a tiger as you can without being in danger!!!  The tiger exhibit has a glass wall that is floor to ceiling and the tiger comes right up to it and paws at it.  The glass is all there is between you and the tiger and he wasn't one bit scared...he squeezed through all of the people until he got right up to the glass!  Hollis loved it too and just laid back and took it all in.  He is just about the most easy going baby, he is so good natured!  We had a wonderful day and I can't wait to take them back!
