Clayton knows that Scott goes to work at the bank. He is very inquisitive and very into the "why" and "what" stage. He also loves doughnuts from the Donut Bank. The other day through conversation, we realized that Clayton has thought this entire time that Scott works at a bank...The Donut Bank!!!!! Hilarious. He was talking to his Daddy about working at the bank and he said, "You get doughnuts there Daddy?" Kids...so funny!
I was mopping the floor the other day and Hollis was coming that way, so I said, "Hollis you are going to fall on your tail if you come in here!" Clayton looks at me as serious as he can possibly be and says, "Mommy! Hollis doesn't have a tail!!!" So literal! ;)

Just Some Brothers Having Fun!
Sharing his sucker with his little brother :)
Some water fun!
My whole world!!!
Superman ties!
Sharing his sucker again, such a sweet big brother!
This is their new favorite game to play...take all of the couch cushions off and chase each other up and down the couch. Seriously, this occupies them for hours! Lol, love it!
This picture makes my heart burst and tears well up in my eyes! I am so blessed by these beautiful boys and I am so thankful that they will have one another to lean on and have each others back for life. Watching this precious bond between brothers is such a blessing to me...not having a sibling, I know what a gift it is, and I am so happy that they have one another!
The Lorax
The library was celebrating the Lorax this past Friday, so we went to join the fun. They read the book and had several activities for the kiddos to do including making truffella trees, planting seeds, and making a mustache like the Lorax. We had taken Clayton to see this movie and it was super cute, so he knew all about the activites. Both boys had a great time!
CMOE Garden Party
We go to story time at the library once a week, and check out books and movies afterwards, and we have Kindermusik on Thursdays so we had never made it to the story time at CMOE. We are members there and we knew about it, but it had never worked with our schedule. We are on a break from Kindermusik for a couple of weeks until summer session, so we decided to go this past Thursday...to our surprise they were having a preschool garden party!!! There were cookies, candy, games, and they even got to plant a sunflower! We had a great morning playing and gardening!
Kindermusik, Spring 2012
Both boys wrapped up their Kindermusik sessions for the summer. Hollis really opened up by the end of this session. He was running around that place like he was big stuff. He never quite let Mrs. Julie hold him, but he did go near her and give her a smile a few times. For the longest time he wouldn't leave my lap, so he made tons of progress. He loves to dance and play music, and Mrs. Julie is seriously phenomenal!!! I will definitely keep both my boys in until they are too old to go, it teaches them so much more than just music!
I was EXTREMELY proud of Clayton. He loves Kindermusik and he loves Mrs. Julie! He asks everday, every week if it is the day we go to Kindermusik. This semester was the first class since he graduated to the 3-5 year old class where they go in by themselves! He did so great! He cried for 5 seconds on the very first day, but never again after that. They even had homework to work on at home! He loves it so much and looks forward to it that we usually take the summer off, but he is going to go to summer session too! During summer they go in for an hour by themselves and then parents come in the last 30 minutes. I can't wait to see what all he will learn!
Both boys will start back up in August! Huge thanks to Mrs. Julie for all you do, my boys love you!!

SUPER CLAYTON!
Clayton has recently gotten into super heroes...especially spiderman and superman. He loves to pretend to be a super hero and when you play super heroes with him, his always wins, of course! A sweet friend of mine made him his very own custom made Spiderman cape, with his name on it!!! I put it in his Easter basket and he is loving it. He "flies" around the house chasing his Dad and I. So cute, I wish I could bottle his imagination up because he has a HUGE imagination and I LOVE IT! Thanks Amber for making our super hero his very own cape!
Hollis is 17 months old...Here is a look at the past month
I can't believe my baby is 17 months old!!! We have noticed he has really gotten tall, and walking...forget it, this little guy pretty much runs everywhere he goes! He is always on the move! He is becoming a little person with his own unique little personality and he makes us smile everyday. He is quite the little character :)
He has been up to a lot this past month, here are some highlights...
*He will pretty much try to repeat what you say...of course he is still a baby so it doesn't come out clearly, but he will mimic the sounds and syllables that you say. Of course he can say some words such as bye bye, baby, night night, these, mama, dada, nana, no no, bubbles, and he tries to say Clayton. Those are just a few that I can remember at the moment.
*He is a CLIMBER, and I mean this baby climbs everything!!!! He is quite the daredevil and he scares me to death. He can now climb up on the couch on his own and once he is up there he stands of course, he climbs up on top of the train table, our stairs have a lip on the outside of them and he climbs up those, he can climb the rock wall of the playset and now he can climb the ladder, and stairs are no big deal for him. We were at library class the other day and while I helped Clayton do something for 5 seconds, he had climbed up into an adult chair and was standing with this big grin on his face. Thankfully the lady beside him watched him until I turned around and saw. Boy oh boy!!!
*He blows kisses now and it is the sweetest thing EVER!! He even adds the sound affect mmmmwah!
*He is starting to be picky about what he eats, darn...I thought I had at least one good eater, but he is very particular about what he wants. The throw it all on the floor game is very popular right now! He does love peanut butter, fruit, yogurt, and pretzels.
*He is very independent and gets very upset when something isn't working. He is very smart and is quick to watch and figure things out on his own. If you watch him he is always thinking...people even comment about it. He has a very serious look on his face and you can tell he is trying to figure it all out! He knows how it works and he will get you to do it if he can't!
*He know uses for different things, like the remote control. He loves Dora and Diego. The other night he was watching and another show came on. He got up walked over and got the remote and handed it to me...like, change it back to Dora Mommy! I did and that is exactly what he was wanting! So smart!
*Still cutting molars, it seems like once he started cutting teeth, he never got a break. They just pop in one after another, poor baby!
*Loves, loves, loves outside!!! He is constantly crying at the back door to go out, and if he hears the word outside, he comes running!
*Some of his favorite toys right now are a dancing Mickey Mouse, a push duck, and a wind up musical clock
*While he is daring in the climbing category, he is very fearful and cautious in many other ways. He stick very close to Mommy and is painfully shy! The other day his Pop Pop and Lisa came over and he literally hid behind the table and when he finally came out he buried his head in my lap and would not even look at them for the longest time. He is the same way in Kindermusik, when someone talks to him he runs back and hides his face in my shoulder or lap. Once you give him some time to warm up he does fine, but he is super shy and a BIG TIME MOMMY'S BOY. I must admit, I love that my boys are Mommy's boys ;) They sure do love their Daddy too, but when it comes to the nitty gritty, they want Mommy.
*For some reason, he is very fearful of animals, and I mean even birds! I think the size and movement of animals and the fact that they are unpredictable and most of them at eye level doesn't help. He warms up to them, but is super cautious!
*Still loves his thumb and lovey of course ;)
*He loves to go to the fridge and pantry and pick out his own snacks!
*He definitely will let you know when he is not happy about something. He has this new fake cry/shriek that he does that is his form of tantrum. It is hilarious because you can tell it is totally fake, and he looks at you like, "are you going to give me what I want or what?!"
*He can follow one step directions like, go get your shoes, and he knows that when you say it is time to go bye bye to head to the back door.
*LOVES the bath. He is just like his brother...a little fishy. He doesn't mind water being poured over his head and will splash water in his own face. So glad that my kiddos don't have a fear of the water because I love it too!
*He loves blowing bubbles and playing with the plastic t-ball. He will actually go get the ball, put it on the t, pick up the bat, and hit it off all on his own. He watched me do it several times, then he did all those steps by himself!!!
*Finally likes to swing. He wasn't ever scared of it, but just didn't seem to enjoy it for the longest time, but now he loves to swing beside his brother...he thinks that is hilarious.
*Loves to run around and around our staircase chasing/catching his brother.
*Still loves the game of hide and seek, I think they always love that game!
*Loves to be read to, will go and get a book and bring it to you and plop right into your lap to be read to.
*He is my little cuddle bug, seriously he is the sweetest, cuddliest baby ever! He snuggles in with that lovey and thumb and I could cuddle him forever!!!!
I know I say it every time, but he is just a bundle of love, sweetness, joy, and cute all rolled into one and we love him beyond belief. He is pure sweetness!

Easter Weekend!!
Well, we crammed a lot into Easter weekend, and it was a great one!
Event 1...Trip to see the Easter Bunny
Well, let's just say my two children could not be any more opposite! I pretty much knew how this was going to go down, and my prediction was right. Clayton is the only one in the picture with the Easter Bunny this year :) Hollis is very timid and scared of most everything, so I knew a giant Easter Bunny was not going to be on the list of his favorite things. Clayton loved it, walked right up and stared at the bunny adoringly and enjoyed every minute of it. He cheesed for the camera and everything! Hollis was like He$# No! I mean, I tried to sit the child on the bunny's lap and his body went into full freak out mode, stiff, flailing limbs, and a death grip on my shirt!!! I was not going to put the poor baby through that torture so he didn't even make it to the bunny's lap. He was having no part of it, poor thing! He did enjoy the jelly beans Gi Gi brought for the trip and the playing on the playground at the mall, but the bunny...not so much!
Event 2...Dying Easter Eggs and Making a Bunny Cake
Gi Gi had Good Friday off, so she came over and dyed Easter Eggs with the boys...this is a tradition she wanted to start and has done with them every year since Clayton was born. Clayton really got into it this year, and Hollis loved it too. He wasn't quite sure what the heck was going on, but he like it all the same :)
While the eggs dryed, we went to work on the bunny cake. My mom made these when I was little and I wanted to start the tradition with my boys. Clayton was beyond excited and talked about making this bunny cake weeks before we made it. He helped me pick out the candy to decorate, helped make it, and decorate it! We had a great day and I look forward to doing this every year with my babies!
Event 3...The Bunny Breakfast
This is another thing that has become tradition for us. It really is a nice event of breakfast, games for for the kids, the Castle show choir performs, and the Easter Bunny and clowns are there. It is so cute! We have gone every year since Clayton has been born. This was the first year our cousin Kaitlyn wasn't it in :( She has moved on to college, but the good news is, her younger brother Austin is now in the show choir, so we will get to go see him now! The boys had a great time filling their bellies with candy, Clayton jumped in the bounce house, and Hollis loved watching the choir...he even joined in the dancing, by Mommy of course! We had a great morning!
Event 4...Church, Lunch, and Egg Hunting
The most important, of course, was church as a family on Easter morning. We were so excited that Pop Pop and Lisa joined us this year!!! We had a wonderful Easter celebration at the Ford Center, and then headed back home for lunch with the family. After lunch, Pop Pop, Lisa, and Uncle B hid eggs for the boys to find in the back yard. Hollis was happy with finding one egg and then playing. Clayton was hilarious...he was going around as fast as he could and every single time he found an egg, he opened it and said, "Oh Wow!" So cute. It was a great day!
