Good things come in twos...and give you the blues

10 months and no teeth...until Thursday! I am always sticking my finger in Clayton's mouth feeling to see if there are any teeth popping through. Usually, I feel nothing. On Thursday, November 19th, I was feeding Clayton his baby food and when he was done I decided to stick my finger in and feel around and to my surprise...I felt a tooth popping through!!! This explains the no sleeping Wednesday night! Surprise again...he opens his mouth for a bite of food on Saturday and there is the second one. No wonder he wasn't sleeping, he cut two teeth right in a row. They are so cute if I do say so myself...who ever thought teeth could be so exciting and cute :) Too bad I can't get a picture of them, everytime I go to look, he sticks his tongue over the top of them...I am sure they will be sticking out more here soon, right now they are just popping through, so hopefully there will be a picture to add soon.

Time flies when your having fun!!!!

Clayton is now 10 months old...unbelievable. What else is unbelievable is just when you think it can't get any better...IT DOES! He is doing something new all of the time. He is officially into EVERYTHING...baby proofing can no longer be put off! He is in the dog bowl, the plants, and anything else he can get his hands on that isn't a toy, HA.

A look back at month 9...

*Waved Bye Bye for the first time

*spent his first night away from mommy and daddy at Granny Dawn's

*tried puffs and did not like them at all...gagged and even threw up! Then after being introduced to the cheddar puffs decided he LOVED THEM. He starts waving his hands and kicking his feet just at the sight of the container :)

*9 month well check stats 18 lbs 10.5 ounces, 28 1/2 inches long

*1st camping trip to Lake Rudolph for Halloweekends

*First weekend trip to Lexington to the Nesmith's

*First Halloween...went as a Lion

*Began crawling on his knees

*1st boo boo :(

*officially pulling up to standing

Things he loves right now:

*crawling under and over everything he can

*loves the dog bowls and the guitar

*found his tongue and thinks it is a fun toy, always doing silly things with it :P

Pumpkins, projects, puffs, and boo boos OH MY!

So much to talk about...Well, I will begin with the pumpkins and projects since both have to do with Halloween. We began our Halloween celebration with friends camping, but we also traveled to Lexington to visit our good friends the Nesmith's on Halloween weekend. Here is a cute picture of Clayton the morning after Halloween in his Halloween pajamas "eating" candy.

I also had to post the most precious artwork I have EVER seen! Clayton made mommy and daddy a special Halloween project at Mrs. Carrie's house. So cute!

Now on to the puffs. Of course everything that has to do with Clayton is exciting to us, so to puffs was no exception! (can you tell we are crazy over this child?) We started out with Banana and Sweet Potato puffs, and it was a big no go! He was not fond of the texture, and literally threw up gagging! A little dramatic I know, but he is my child ;) I had all but given up on the puff idea, thinking my child would be eating pureed food for the rest of his life, when Mrs. Carrie gives him Cheddar puffs for his Halloween present. That was the ticket, the child opens his mouth and eats one after another...loving every bite. Thanks for the Halloween treat Mrs. Carrie and introducing us to a new and better flavor! ;)

I swear he loves them...despite this hilarious face!



Finally, the first big boo boo! Being ever so nosey (again I don't know where he gets it?) Clayton decided to pull a backpack full of books off of a bench onto his head! Left a little boo boo on his forehead and a little one under his eye :( The first of many I know...but still doesn't make it any easier! He is on the move and into everything, along with this comes the boo boos. I can feel the gray hair popping through already :)
