Outdoor Fun...

Clayton absolutely loves to be outside. He will stand at the door and whine to go out and once he is out, he screams when you bring him back in. He just loves it, I swear he would live outside if we would let him! Here are some recent photos of Clayton playing outside...

Just Precious!

Scott gets up with Clayton while I get ready for school weekday mornings. Some mornings, they lay down in the floor of the living room or Clayton's bedroom and go back to sleep. The other morning after I finished getting ready I found them in Clayton's room like this. It just doesn't get any sweeter!!!

First Sucker...

We gave Clayton his first sucker the other day...blue raspberry of all flavors! Let's just say he enjoyed it thoroughly :)

Easter Surprises

So over taking Easter Pictures

My handsome little man

Clayton found his Easter basket at home first and was thrilled to see Scout the puppy! We started out Easter morning going to church, and then joined my mom and Scott's parents for lunch at Biaggis. After lunch, we went to my mom's so Clayton could open all of his Easter gifts. We ended the day going to the park to play just the three of us. It was a perfect day :)

14 month Review...

Enjoying his Banana Popsicle

Playing on his Mickey Plane

Clayton and Scout on the stairs, this was a process, he put Scout on the stair and got him just right and then he climbed up next to him. He thinks he is big stuff!

Clayton is learning more and more everyday, and is a busy little guy!!! We had his 15 month well check and everything looked great. He is still pretty small, only weighing 21 lbs, so Dr. Cochran put him on a supplement. He is 31 inches long, I think he might just be tall like my dad! Dr. Cochran was impressed by all of the words he could say and always talks about Clayton's beautiful smile. He showed Dr. C all of his body parts and named them, and just babbled up a storm. He also showed off his newly acquired walking skills. Dr. C was concerned about his feet turning in, so he sent us to an Orthopedist, Dr. Deppe. Fortunately, Dr. Deppe thinks that the tendon is just weak, and will get better with time, but at the most he might have to have inserts made for his shoes. We were thankful it was nothing more serious than that!

Here are some of the many highlights from Month 14:

*He says or at least tries to say any word you say to him. There are too many to list, but here are a few of his favorites to say...cow, grapes, cookie, more, nose, eyes, pancake, wawa (water), done, choo choo, hello, woof woof, guitar, ouch, bubble, boop (book), cold, cracker, and hot. Of course he is always hollering mama or dada, which is music to our ears.

*He goes from sitting to standing without pulling up on anything

*Walking EVERYWHERE

*He got his 5th and 6th tooth along with the dreaded top molars (which he ran a fever for four days with )

*Loves to brush his teeth

*Has a new obsession with Elmo, cries when he isn't on T.V, will even bring the remote to you crying, Elmo, Elmo

*Had his first haircut

*First Easter Egg Hunt

*LOVES, LOVES, LOVES outside and blowing bubbles, screams when it is time to finally come in

*Loves wagon rides

*Tries to feed himself with a spoon and does a pretty good job, a little messy :)

The skunk Clayton stole from the clown!

Mommy and Clayton on the clown's lap...HA!

Every year, the show choir at Castle puts on a bunny breakfast. Last year Clayton was too small to really enjoy it, but this year he had a ball...and we invited our friends the Stucki's. The boys are just a few months apart and Julie and I have been friends since kindergarten, so we are really enjoying the boys growing up together. This year at the breakfast, they had clowns and the Easter Bunny, and the show choir performed of course. My cousin Kaitlyn is in it and I used to babysit her from the time she was born, so it is pretty special to watch her grow up! Clayton wasn't too sure of the clowns, until the clown pulled out a fake skunk...go figure! At first, he just took the skunk from the clown, but eventually he even let the clown hold him! He was okay with the Easter Bunny until we took Owen off of the bunny's lap, and then Clayton was ready to get out of there. Both boys, loved dancing to the show choir tunes, future show choir members????
We shall see!

On a side note...you might notice in SEVERAL of the pictures that Clayton has a packet of pancake syrup...he would NOT let go of this the entire morning. I'm just glad he didn't get it open!
