Louisville Zoo Trip

Scott occasionally has to work in Louisville...a perk to being a stay at home mom is that we can now go on these trips with him!  Some of our dearest friends live in Louisville now and she is also a stay at home mom, so we made the trip to Louisville, dropped Scott off downtown and met Kari and Conner at the zoo!  It was an absolutely beautiful day weather wise and we had a great time.  It is a really nice zoo and has many animals that we don't have at the Evansville Zoo.  They even had a 4D Dora movie playing.  Clayton and Hollis both love Dora and they were beyond excited about seeing this movie.  Little did we know it sprayed water at us, made it feel like you were on a plane, and sprayed different scents throughout the move. The boys had a ball and were absolutely exhausted by the end of the day.  We look forward to going to the Louisville Zoo again, especially since we get in free with our Evansville membership!

Mother's Day!

I am beyond blessed to be the Mommy of Clayton and Hollis.  They are the loves of my life.  All I ever want for Mother's Day is to spend time with them and for them to be healthy and happy...what more could a Mommy want?!
This Mother's Day, we started the day at church, and Clayton's class sang up front.  What a treat!!!  It was so hilarious...you could tell that they had never been at the front of the church with the huge big screens and the band.  They were all over the place.  We go to a huge church!  Clayton kept turning around backwards, looking up at the big screens, and he even carried his favorite stuffed animal Bolt onto the stage with him.  It was beyond cute and I couldn't help but tear up and swell with pride when I saw him sing!  Pop Pop, Lisa, Uncle B, Gi Gi, and Great Granny Mullins were all there too!

After church we went to Hacienda for lunch.  After naps we went to the park to play, picked up Sushi (my favorite) for dinner, and ended up going out for icecream to end the perfect day!  Scott and the boys also gave me money to shop at my favorite store, The Loft!  The best gift of all was spending the day with my beautiful family...so blessed!

Mended Little Hearts Walk

My best friend is involved in a group called Mended Little Hearts which is a support group for families that have children with heart defects.  This is close to my heart not only because my best friend has a congenital heart defect, but many of my students with Down Syndrome also have congenital heart defects.  So we, as a family, were more than thrilled to support this group!  It was a great family event and we look forward to walking for many years to come!

Riding in Pop Pop's New Car!!!

Pop Pop got a new "race car" as Clayton would call it.  It's a red BMW convertible and Clayton thinks it is cool.  I wasn't sure if he was going to ride in it or not.  One evening when it was nice outside we decided to put his carseat in the back and take him for a ride.  I don't think he new what to think.  His eyes were huge and he had this smile on his face, but he was so quiet...that is not in his character.  I actually kept looking back there thinking he was asleep he was so quiet!  I think he was in awe of the fact that there was no roof!  After a ride, Pop Pop even took him to Sonic for a kids meal with a watermelon slush.  He had a great time!

Last Zoo Class...

 Clayton with his teachers

Clayton is up front wearing the zoo keeper hat and leading the parade :)

Zoo class was a great experience for the boys, they absolutely loved it!  They were able to meet new friends, learn about animals, meet and pet animals, and make crafts!  On the last day, they dressed up and did a parade :)

Clayton Funny...

Clayton knows that Scott goes to work at the bank.  He is very inquisitive and very into the "why" and "what" stage.  He also loves doughnuts from the Donut Bank.  The other day through conversation, we realized that Clayton has thought this entire time that Scott works at a bank...The Donut Bank!!!!!  Hilarious.  He was talking to his Daddy about working at the bank and he said, "You get doughnuts there Daddy?"  Kids...so funny!

I was mopping the floor the other day and Hollis was coming that way, so I said, "Hollis you are going to fall on your tail if you come in here!"  Clayton looks at me as serious as he can possibly be and says, "Mommy!  Hollis doesn't have a tail!!!"  So literal! ;)

Just Some Brothers Having Fun!

Sharing his sucker with his little brother :)

Some water fun!
My whole world!!!
Superman ties!

Sharing his sucker again, such a sweet big brother!

This is their new favorite game to play...take all of the couch cushions off and chase each other up and down the couch.  Seriously, this occupies them for hours!  Lol, love it!

This picture makes my heart burst and tears well up in my eyes!  I am so blessed by these beautiful boys and I am so thankful that they will have one another to lean on and have each others back for life.  Watching this precious bond between brothers is such a blessing to me...not having a sibling, I know what a gift it is, and I am so happy that they have one another!
