Big Brother Clayton Shirt
Well, our first semester at Kindermusik has come to an end and it was so much fun! It really is such a great experience for both the parent and child. They work on so many skills...gross motor, fine motor, rhythm, social skills, and many more! Clayton has learned so much from this experience, I can't wait to begin again in January!
Things Clayton learned in Kindermusik:
*In the class they switch instruments often and in the beginning he had a hard time giving up the instrument when it was time to move on to the next activity, but after a few classes...he was more than willing to put his instrument away all by himself!
*Learned to wait his turn...Mrs. Julie is really good about teaching them that they cannot get their instrument until it is their turn and he caught onto this rather quickly. Love this skill!

*In every Kindermusik class there is a short story time where they go sit on the rug and listen to Mrs. Julie read. At first he wouldn't even go and sit on the rug and wasn't too interested in the story. Now he not only sits on the rug, but he sits front and center and most of the time listens to the whole story!
*Loved to dance and after getting very comfortable in the class he would even get in the center of the circle to show off his dance moves!
*He also warmed up and became very vocal, often telling the class "stories"...Mrs. Julie teased that before long he would be teaching the class.
*Learned to sit and attend for longer periods of time
*Loves getting his hands stamped by Mrs. Julie at the end of class and has his hands ready for her when it is his turn. He looks at his hands often throughout the rest of the day just to see if they are still there. He looks forward to showing Daddy his stamps when he gets home. Daddy got to take Clayton to several classes this semester! Hollis was born right before the last class, so Clayton wore his Big Brother shirt to class to tell everyone of Hollis' arrival!
