Veggie Tales Live!
Veggie Tales Live was coming to CFC, so we decided to get tickets and I am so glad we did!!! We didn't tell Clayton until the very last minute. He just knew we were going to a surprise. He was beyond excited when he got to CFC and saw Veggie Tales stuff everywhere! We had great seats and both boys really loved it. I was surprised just how much Hollis loved it. I really didn't think he would get that into it, and thought he may even be a little scared when the giant talking vegetables came out on stage...boy was I wrong. He was standing on my lap the entire time, smiling, clapping, and dancing. He absolutely LOVED it!!! Clayton was just mesmerized...he really thought the light effects were cool. I am so glad we got tickets, I would definitely go again. Gi Gi even bought them both a Veggie Tale stuffed animal as a souvenir!!! Clayton picked out Larry the cucumber for himself, and Bob the tomato for Hollis :) It was a great time!
AMAZING!!!!
I knew that Hollis looked a lot like Scott, but we were looking through old pictures the other day and I came across a baby picture of Scott. WOW! They are like identical twins! Amazing!!!
So Cool!
We went to the zoo on Saturday morning, and to our surprise the porcupine from Amazonia was out to visit. They had him on a table with no leash or anything, and he was the friendliest little thing! We got to pet him, he felt like plastic! We also got to feed him. Clayton and I both fed him a banana, and he took it out of our hands with his little paws so gently! Hollis was not to sure, everytime he came near him, Hollis went the other direction. He does not share his brother's fearless approach with animals :) It was a great day!
Clayton's First Dentist Appointment!
Clayton had his first dentist appointment and he did fabulous!!!!! He let them clean his teeth, and let Dr. Heister check them out, no problem! I could not have been more proud of him. I was very impressed with Dr. Heister and his entire staff as well, they were great with him. He was amazed by the TV on the ceiling, it was the first thing he told his Daddy about when he got home. He got an A on his report card, and Dr. Heister was very impressed with how well his teeth had been taken care of. He got a Lightning McQueen toothbrush, stickers, and a balloon! Hollis got a toothbrush and balloon too! My Clayton is getting to be such a big boy, and he makes us so proud! Way to go Clayton!!!
After his dentist appointment, we met Gi Gi at Firehouse Subs for lunch! Both the boys got their very own fireman hat! :)
Love Those Curls!!!
Hollis has these beautiful curls in the back. He really needs it cut, but I cannot bring myself to cut them off...they are absolutely precious!!!!!
Swim Lessons for Clayton!
Clayton started swim lessons with the Newburgh Sea Creatures at Castle High School. We had heard it was a great program. Clayton has no fear of the water, he has been going under forever, people are always amazed at how fearless he is in the water. We are hoping he will be swimming by summer. He is doing great...he goes under, and the other night he swam all the way across the pool all by himself using a noodle! We are so proud of him! We ended up getting him an actual wet suit to wear during the lessons because he has no fat on his body and the water is freezing!!! He would be miserable, blue lipped, and shaking halfway through the lesson. The wet suit has helped. I am hoping that he continues on and does the Newburgh Sea Creatures swim team later!
Zoo Class...S is for Snake!
Daddy was off and got the chance to go to Zoo Class with us this week. They got to pet and make a snake this week! Clayton has no fear when it comes to animals, so he got right in there and pet that snake like it was no big deal! He is loving this class!
